Greggio Italian Silverplate offers exclusive made in Italy silverplated products for the house and the table using brass or nickel-silver alloy as metal base and plating them with silver through a galvanic process. All products can also be rhodium plated, rhodium being and excellent antioxidant.

He was born in Este and graduated in Architecture in Florence. In the sixties, in Florence he established the renowned radical architecture office “Archizoom Associati”, together with Massimo Branzi, Gilberto Corretti and Massimo Morozzi. Here he worked as an architect and designer up to 1972.

Useful Advise: Use, Wash and Store
1. Salt - vinegar - lemon - parmesan, are corrosive and harmful to silverplated. Be aware also of by-products of oil (for e.g. elastic bands).
2. Never clean candlesticks and candelabra with liquid: they are hollow and there are many solderings. Use please an antitarnish cloth. To keep the objects always beautiful it is advisable to place it in anti-tarnish cloth and anyway preserve in a dry place, but the best is to use them daily. Calcareous and hard water can leave stains. It is recommended to rinse and dry very well, while cleaning.
3. Cutlery is dishwasher safe (except for the salad and caviar set: horn ends). If not washed immediately, leave it to steep.
4. The enemies of the steel blades are: aggressive washing powders (containing sulfur or sulfides) and silver cleansers not advised by the manufacturers.
At the age of 14, Rino Greggio, started working as an apprentice in the laboratory of a silversmith in Padua (Podova), 30km outside of Venice, Italy. There he learned the secrets of this ancient craft, not knowing that this will become his life-long passion. In 1948, just after the war, Rino Greggio sold his bicycle for 21 Liras and bought his first kilo of silver to establish Rino Greggio with two co-workers. Starting from a little 4x4 room in 1948, the Group has come a long way today to become an important reference point in the world of silver. The Group is still 100% privately owned and it is managed by the founding family and their children who share the same passion for silver, its onward development and appreciation.
